Reliable Warmth with Domestic Boilers
GET A QUOTEDomestic boilers
Domestic boilers are a crucial component of many UK households, providing heating and hot water. As a domestic boiler installer, we ensure that all of our boilers offer reliability, quality and performance.
How Do Boilers Work?
Although there are plenty of varieties of domestic boilers, they all work in a similar fashion. This type of heating system works by burning fuel to create heat which is then transferred to the pump and sent out to radiators or underfloor heating systems, taps and appliances.
GET A QUOTEWhich Boiler is right for you?
The process of selecting and installing a boiler or central heating system will depend on multiple factors, but the process needn’t be overwhelming or complex. After an initial consultation, we can assist in planning and product selection, providing you with the necessary information and resources to make informed decisions.
GET A QUOTEWe offer 3 types of domestic boiler systems:
Leodis are accredited commercial boiler installers for several manufacturers, but not tied to any. Leodis will offer independent advice on the types of systems available and provide options based on your individual circumstances.
COMBI
A combi (short for combination) boiler is the most compact option as it generates both your heating and hot water from a single unit. With a combi boiler, there’s no need for a separate hot water tank. Combi boilers heat mains fed cold water on demand. Their integral heat exchanger is hot enough to instantaneously heat the cold water from the mains supply as it flows over it.
Conventional
Conventional, or ‘heat-only boilers heat up your radiators directly and connect to a separate cylinder or tank to provide hot water. As with combi boilers, a heat exchanger warms water when fuel is ignited. The biggest difference between the two is that with a conventional boiler a pump transports the water to a storage tank. This hot water then flows through to radiators to heat them, or into your taps when you switch them on.
System boilers
System boilers do not need a cold-water tank however do require a hot water cylinder and components like pumps and valves. These are separate in conventional boilers but are built-in with a system boiler. These are often called ‘closed vent’ or ‘system sealed’ boilers. System boilers work in the same way as conventional boilers, it’s just the components are slightly different. Think of them as the modern upgrade to a conventional boiler.
